Marvel Avengers Alliance: Best Team PvP Season 17. Guide for best characters for PvP. Review Drax the Destroyer

Drax is a bad character. OK I am gonna go trough each new character since season 16 pretty quickly not as analytic as I usually do.

I had a lot of jobs last month, I was in Poland last week, Denmark the week before and so on. So right now I am pretty behind on a lot of stuff. Especially this place and talking about Marvel Avengers Alliance. Given that it was no new pvp season for ages really did not help. But anyway, I go over each character and point out if they have some uses in the coming dreaded last day of season 17.

OK first of all. I think that Dave Bautista played Drax really well in the Movie. But I did not like the way they changed his background story. Yes, in Guardian of the Galaxy it wouldent have made much sense if he was from earth as well I can buy that. But I would say they could have gone with the same storyline just make Drax from another planet then. The main issue was that now it was Ronan who killed his family instead of Thanos which in my opinion wont make him fighting against Thanos in the later movies as reasonable, i.e he already got his revenge in the first movie. Also he had like no powers? He was just a strong alien right?

Describing why Drax don't work in Marvel Avengers Alliance is pretty much just a recap of my older articles about several characters.
Hes based on Bleeding, which just never works.

There is a lot of cahracter based on this, e.g Tigra. So sure you can get a full team of 2 bleeding heroes and get your agent with bleeding weapons. Doing all that, does not create a good team. Thats the main issue, yes the team will be a lot better then just having Drax with a non bleeder but full bleeding team are just bad for several reasons.
Its basically a huge balance issue, even committing 100% to bleed you wont get a good team. This means that Drax on his own is really bad.

Ok, quickly why dont bleed work? (as this is something I been over like 10 times for the past 2 years)

  •  People got way to much removal
  • Many, many uses mystic so you cant apply bleed turn 1 (if your agent can remove mystic is still luck based then to get your agent to move before the others)
  • Characters are immune to bleeding, can reverse it,can dodge etc. There is a lot of stuff that can go in your way
  • The pay of is not good enough as you get hard countered by teams with to much defense vs it.
  • Lastly, it just takes time to prepare up. Especially Drax dont have a good bleed spreading ability. PvP goes fast so that wont work.

Then Drax...suit is not good. You can still buy it to get the bruiser buff. Which is recommended as Defense >> Accuracy.

But the actually passive of it is very weak as it boost bleeding(of course). It makes other Guardians of the galaxy have hemorrhage (make target they attack take damage based on bleeding stacks). Problem is no one of the other guardians have any bleeding attacks so they don't synergies at all with Drax or this alternative suit passive.
If Drax had an aoe 3x bleeding ability to then make the whole team hemorrhage that could be something. Instead hes one of the weakest characters in the regard to set up bleeding. Only the agent can really get something from his suit and the agent has to set the bleedings, meaning the agent wont have all the much better gear on her/him.

Lastly Drax rage thing takes a long time to set up and its not worth it at all. His only good move his is ultimate as it can 1 shot someone if they got enough bleeding stack on them, which means hes just  a really bad X-23 in best case as she can also do that but she can set up the bleeding herself 10x better and her passive (War suit) is also 10x better.
